Teri Michels

Teri Michels is a retired telecommunications professional who spent 34 years with AT&T, formerly Pacific Bell, from 1978 until her retirement in 2012 working in the Bay Area. Hired directly out of high school, she built a career that included roles as a lineman, repair-installation technician, and, for her final seven years, a construction splicer building infrastructure for U-verse TV, data circuits, and cellular services.

Teri is the proud parent of four children, ages 45, 43, and 22-year-old twins, and a grandparent to four grandchildren. She relocated from Windsor, California, to the Central Coast to be more involved in their lives and remains dedicated to community service through volunteer work with organizations including the Telephone Pioneers and the Redwood Empire Food Bank. She has also spent the past five years volunteering at the ALF Food Pantry.

Passionate about giving back, Teri finds fulfillment in supporting her community and large extended family. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, baking, and working in her yard. She loves spending as much time outdoors as possible, taking advantage of the natural beauty of San Luis Obispo County’s Central Coast.
