Lynne Martin
Since 1988, San Luis Obispo County has been home for Lynne. She is a proud mother of two charming daughters and her four accomplished grandchildren. Her daughters and their families reside nearby in Templeton and Cambria, respectively. In 2015, she built her home in Templeton, where she lives happily among a forest of old oaks.
Lynne holds a degree in Journalism from Oklahoma City University.
She was the founder and owner of Maynor and Associates, LLC, a Hollywood-based public relations firm that represented TV and film performers, movie distributors, and corporate clients. The company played a key role in securing an Academy Award for one of its clients. Lynne's company executed national media campaigns, organized premieres, managed press tours, and coordinated a convention for 2,000 journalists.
Later, Lynne created and scaled a gourmet food company specializing in high-end cheese products distributed nationwide. She oversaw product development, manufacturing, packaging, and retail distribution.
From 2011, she and her late husband enjoyed a nomadic lifestyle for five years, which inspired her best-selling memoir, "Home Sweet Anywhere,” where she chronicled her experiences living in twelve countries. Following that, she published another well received book titled "Cook Like a Local in France."
Lynne contributed articles to The Wall Street Journal, the Huffington Post, and others. She appeared on CBS This Morning when her first book was published. As a public speaker, she discusses topics such as reinvention, travel, and living boldly at any age.
Currently, Lynne serves on the board of directors for the ALF Food Pantry, where she is dedicated to supporting its mission to assist food-insecure individuals in the area.
