Linda Albright

Born right in the middle of the 20th century, I grew up in Santa Rosa, California, and attended UC Davis, where I received a BA in English (and found elementary school teaching did not suit me) and then University of Iowa, where I received an MA in Rhetoric and most of a PhD in Women's Studies (and found college teaching did not suit me). In my 30's, I completed a BA in Computer Science and worked for Hewlett Packard and eventually a small computer consulting firm, where I worked in both technical fields and in HR. After living in Colorado, my husband Alan and I retired to his home town of Atascadero. In 2016, I started with Atascadero Loaves and Fishes as Secretary and later as Treasurer-- sometimes combining the two positions. While I am now retired from those jobs, I continue on the Board of Directors, providing training and continuity to those who have ably taken over the positions I previously held. For many years, we have visited our four kids, two grandsons, and other relatives by train, but most of my time is spent happily at home, where I enjoy various needle workings, reading, and streaming all sorts of media.
