Chris Cross

● I put myself through college by working in a grocery store in Montecito and graduated from UCSB as a political science major in 1975. I met my wife there but she wanted to finish school at Cal Poly so I got a job working for Williams Bros which at that time was the biggest grocery chain on the Central Coast. I was going to Cal Poly to get my teaching credential and become a coach, but was offered a managerial position, thus starting a 40-year career as a store manager ending up in Paso Robles.
● Julie and I have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Our oldest grandson Urban will be graduating from AHS this June and going to UC Riverside. Our youngest grandson Christopher will turn 3 this June as well. We will also be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary this August.
● After retiring in 2O15, I was looking for a way to give back to our great community. I ran across Loaves and Fishes while searching online and thought it might be a good fit for me. I was welcomed and quickly became part of the pantry family. My jobs have included mornings setup, am driver and Board member.
